Fishing for Catfish on Cedar Creek Lake is excellent most of the year, as well as fishing for White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass.
White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass populations on Cedar Creek Lake are excellent which also makes a guided fishing trip for Cedar Creek Lake (Sandbass) or Cedar Creek Lake Hybrid Striped Bass an excellent choice for your guided fishing trip with Cedar Creek Fishing Guide Service.
We are proud to have guided clients on Cedar Creek Lake to have caught the Cedar Creek Lake Record Blue Catfish and the Texas State Freshwater Catch and Release Blue Catafish.
CEDAR CREEK LAKE BLUE CATFISH, TROPHY BLUE CATFISH AND CHANNEL CATFISH
We start our day before our clients arrive catching fresh threadfin shad and gizzard shad on Cedar Creek Lake for catfish bait on guided catfish fishing trips, and then pick our clients up a the boat dock at Causeway Marina on Cedar Creek Lake or at Sandy Shores Marina on Cedar Creek Lake.
If your on a guided catfish fishing trip with Cedar Creek Fishing Guide Service then we will head out from the boat dock to one of many areas to catch the much sought after Blue Catfish. To catch the Cedar Creek Lake Blue Catfish we will employ a number of different techniques for catching the Cedar Creek Lake Blue Catfish depending on the time of year and the location of the fish, inlcuding fishing for blue catfish in shallow water on anchor, fishing for blue catfish in deep water on anchor drift fishing for blue catfish, fising main lake structure, doodlesocking for catfish or cormorant catfishing. It usually does not take long to get into the agressive bite of the sought after Blue Catfish on Cedar Creek Lake.
If your after a Trophy Blue Catfish on Cedar Creek Lake, then the best time to go fishing for Trophy Blue Catfish with Cedar Creek Fishing Guide Service is on one of our Winter Trophy Blue Catfish Fishing Trips with Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Guide Service. Trophy Blue Catfish Fishing trips are available in November, December, January and February with Cedar Creek Fishing Guide Service. Catfishing in the Winter is the best time for catching a big blue catfish and fish between 25 and 50 Lbs are very common on Cedar Creek. If your wanting to catch numbers of fish in the Fall or Winter we can do that as well and Fall and Winter Fishing Trips most often produce excellent numbers of blue catfish by either fishin main lake structure, shallow water fishing, drift fishing, or cormorant catfishing or "splat fishing" as some call it.
WE PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE ON ALL CATFISH OVER 10 LBS
Once the weather starts begins to warm the catfish go on the prowl in a literal feeding frenzy trying to make up for the cold water period of the Winter. Spring Catfishing is some of the most phenomenal fishing of the year for catching shear numbers of Blue Catfish. During the spring on our guided catfishing trips most fish will average between one and ten pounds but trophy blue catfish are commmon as well on Spring Catfishing trips with Cedar Creek Fishing Guide Service. The Spring Fishing is so good that once our clients experience the fever of catching catfish with us in the Spring, they usually come back every year after that.
As the water warms in the summer the catfishing usually remains good producing good catches of 1-10 lb blue catfish, with an occasional bigger blue catfish mixed in. We will also on occasion do some fishing for Channel Catfish on Cedar Creek Lake at various times of the year, but the Summer is a great time for catching Channel Catfiish on Cedar Creek Lake on our guided catfishing trips. Fishing for Channel Catfish in the Summer we will fish baited holes using Sure Shot Catfish Punch Bait.
We also offer night fishing trips for catfish on Cedar Creek Lake during the Summer.
Whether your wanting to fish in the Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer on Cedar Creek Lake it is usually always a great time to catch catfish with Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Guide Service. Full day and 1/2 day catfish fishing trips are available. (1/2 Day trips are subject to availability during the Spring and Summer).

CEDAR CREEK LAKE WHITE BASS (SANDBASS) AND HYBRID STRIPED BASS (HYBRIDS)
The fishing for white bass (sandbass) and hybrid striped bass on Cedar Creek Lake is usually best during the warmer months. Typically in Early March the white bass and hybrid striped bass will begin to fire up and start agressively feeding. March April and May are known for producing excellent catches of white bass fishing with slabs or "slabbing" on Cedar Creek Lake.
As Summer approaches on Cedar Creek Lake the White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass action remains hot. The White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass typically remain in good feeding patterns and can often be found in a topwater frenzy around Cedar Creek Lake feeding on large schools of shad. Summer fishing trips usually produce excellent catches of Cedar Creek Lake White Bass and Cedar Creek Lake Hybrid Striped Bass on guided fishing trips. We will use topwater fishing techiniques, slabs and occasionally troll for White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass on Cedar Creek Lake in the Summer and early Fall.
The White Bass are generally good sized and bite well and nothing compares to the fight of the Hybrid Striped Bass on Cedar Creek Lake. Guided fishing trips for White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass are typically best on Cedar Creek Lake from March to September.

The Trophy Catfishing can be slower during this time but the payback can be huge as we really caught some MONSTER TROPHY CATFISH in October and Early November. Those wanting to fish for "box fish" blue catfish (smaller 1-10 Blue Catfish) on Cedar Creek Lake typically can also have excellent trips this time of year and fishing can be very productive on Cedar Creek Lake. Generally this time of year will produce limits of Blue Catfish with occasional Trophy Blue Catfish on Cedar Creek Lake. The White Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass typically remains good during this time but the white bass bite will get less agressive as the water begins to cool in the later part of the fall. The hybrid striped bass bite typically remains good through the winter and produce good to excellent catches fishing with slabs (slabbing) or trolling on Cedar Creek Lake. Cormorant Catfishing trips can also be excellent this time of year. We will use a number of techniques for catching white bass (sandies) and Hybrid Striped Bass (Stripers or Wipers) on Cedar Creek Lake including topwater fishing, slabbing (fishing slabs) using other various artificals like Sassy Shad's and occasionally trolling. Summer fishing for blue catfish and channel catfish can be good during the day or at night. Catfish are a little more finicky during the warmer months but we can typically manage some good fish, and will ocassionally do some jug fishing trips for catfish in addition to rod and reel fishing for blue catfish for those that are interested. Rod and Reel gar fishing can also be productive during this time on Cedar Creek Lake. Either way, there is always something to catch with Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Guide Service during the warmer months of late May, June, July and August.
